It involves forming a team, defining the problem, implementing temporary actions, finding root causes, developing permanent solutions, validating the results, preventing recurrence, and congratulating the team.

Condition-based Maintenance (CBM): CBM involves monitoring the real-time condition and performance of equipment using sensors, data analysis, and specialized monitoring techniques. It allows maintenance activities to be scheduled based on the actual health and performance of the equipment.

Predictive Maintenance (PDM): PDM uses advanced techniques such as machine learning, data analytics, and predictive modeling to anticipate equipment failures or performance degradation. It aims to optimize maintenance activities by scheduling them at the most opportune time to avoid unexpected breakdowns.

Deferred Corrective Maintenance: This type of maintenance is a conscious decision to delay fixing a known issue or failure until a more convenient time. It is often done to minimize disruptions or production downtime and is only considered for non-critical systems or components.

Emergency Maintenance (EM): EM involves urgent, unplanned repairs or maintenance actions that need to be addressed immediately to prevent safety hazards, equipment damage, or production disruptions. It typically occurs in response to unexpected failures or breakdowns that require immediate attention.
